Non-Sales Items

This collection exists purely for managing discounts. Most discounts are applied to non-sale items only. This is to help keep from selling under cost.

How to use

Add the Tag "Non-Sale Items" to items that are NOT on sale. When a customer applies a discount that is meant for only items NOT on sale the discount will not apply for item with this tag.

So, the process should be that when items go on sale one would update the sale price AND remove the tag "Non-Sale Items". When items go off sale one would update the sale price AND add the tag "Non-Sale Items".

Tags - A Tag called "Non-Sale Items" needs to exist. It is used by this Smart Collection to automatically add that product.

Products - Products that are not on sale should have a Tag called "Non-Sale Items" assigned to it. This will automatically add the item to this Collection.

Discounts - When creating a Discount one should set the Applied To setting to "Specific Collections" and the Collection value to this collection ("Non-Sale Items").
